Founders of SAFE

Shri  P Ramabhadran, who turned 80 in 2007 and Shrimathi Ponnammal, founders of SAFE, are well known in the music circuit in Mumbai and Chennai. Shri Ramabhadran had displayed his organizational skills right from his younger days.  At the tender age of fifteen in the year 1942,  he set up Vivekandanda Reading room and circulating library in Kumbakonnam. He moved to Vijayawada while in Government service. There also he formed a cultural association.   He then moved to Mumbai where he set up the Bharatiya Music and Arts Society as well as the Music Triangle in 1973.He founded the sabha, Music Triangle in Mumbai in the year 1973.
