The music season

Cultural activities were conducted in the months of November and December as she was born in November and passed away on 16 December. The Music Event in December and the Music Festival in November are conducted with unfailing regularity since the inception of the trust. The music programme held on 16 December is marked as a tribute to the departed soul in whose remembrance this entire event is conducted. Since 2007, the Music Festival has been preponed to October on account of rains which disrupted the regular activities.

The juniors

SAFE has a mission to encourage art and deserving artistes. Towards this end, scholarships are given to worthy candidates for both academics and cultural activities.   This year, two youngsters coming in from a poor background have been given scholarships for their education and tutelage in instrumental music from violin maestro, Ms Kanyakumari. We are proud that Master Balamuralikrishna, who has taken the music world by storm in recent years has been provided a helping hand during his childhood by SAFE.  During the December Music Event, it has been our practice to gift  musical instruments  to deserving young students.

Music Competitions

We have held music competitions in 2005 and 2006. Due to unforeseen difficulties, the same could not be held in 2007. However, this year, the music competition was held in August.
